  • The student applying for this scholarship must be a permanent resident of the West Bengal state.
  • The applicant must be pursuing education at the post-matric level i.e. 11th, 12th, UG, PG, Ph.D. at an institute or university in West Bengal.
  • The applicant must have passed qualifying exam of the council of secondary/ higher secondary education, State Board, Madrasah Education, or a state university.
  • The main eligibility for this is that the annual family income of the student should be less than Rs 25 lakh from all sources.

  • The students who are domicile of any other state except West Bengal are not eligible under this scholarship.

Diploma/Polytechnic

  • The applicant must have passed 10th standard/Madyamik qualifying exam or any other equivalent for enrolling in the 1st year of a Diploma course with minimum 75% marks or more.
  • The applicant must have passed his/her 12th class/higher secondary exam for the 2nd year of Diploma course in 3D Animation, Pharmacy, Modern Office Practice and Management, and Graphics with minimum 75% marks or more.

Undergraduate Level

  • The applicant must have passed his/her 12th class/higher secondary exam, Madrasha Sikha Pariksha or any other equivalent exam with minimum 75% marks or more.

Post-graduation Level

  • The applicant must have pursued any Honors course at graduation level and must have passed the final qualifying exam with minimum 53% marks.
  • The applicant must have studied honors in Engineering subjects at UG level and must have passed the final qualifying exam with minimum 55% marks.

Kanyashree Applicant (K-3)

Bikash Bhavan Scholarship – Selection Criteria

For selection the student has to go through some of the following steps, which is necessary for the selection of candidate for this scholarship.

  • All categories of applications received by the selection committee are first sorted in descending order according to the marks obtained by student and family income, after which, merit list is made on the basis of marks and family income.
  • On the basis of the bank details submitted by the candidate the scholarship amount is transferred to their account.
  • In case the details or documents submitted by the candidate are found to be false or forged the scholarship will be suspended immediately and the paid amount will be recovered as soon as possible.
  • The candidates who receive this scholarship will not be allowed to apply for any other scholarship.
  • If any candidate is found to be guilty of any such activity then, he/she must face legal actions as per the current law.

After saving all the documents and completing the eligibility, you can proceed to apply. The following are some steps that can be followed to simplify the application process.

Step-1 Registration

  • First of all, the applicant must visit the official website of the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, where the homepage of the website will open on your screen.

  • On the homepage, click on the “Registration” tab on the right side of the page.
  • A registration form will open on your screen, fill all the asked details in the form and submit it.
  • Once the applicant has successfully registered himself/herself an application ID of 15 digits will be generated by the system.
  • The applicant can use the application ID to login and complete the further process of application.
  • The applicant must note down the application ID as it will be used in all future procedures.
  • The applicant will also receive an email containing the application ID.
  • While filling the form the applicants must enter a valid email ID and mobile number. An OTP will be sent to verify the entered mobile number.

  • Once the authentication is successful, the K-3 applicants can register themselves and follow the same application procedure as other fresh applicants.
  • In case, a student forgets his/her credentials, it can be recovered by simply clicking on the “Forgot Applicant ID/Password” tab.

Step-2 Login to portal

  • After successfully registering themselves on the SVMCM website, the students can login to the portal by using application ID, password and CAPTCHHA code.
  • A new application page will open on your screen, fill all the required details in the form.
  • The applicants must upload a scanned copy of all the documents as per the prescribed format.
  • The image needs to be in JPG / JPEG format for uploading.
  • Size of image and signature in JPG format should be between 20 KB to 50 KB.
  • Size of image and signature in JPEG format should be between10 KB to 20 KB.

Step-3 Upload Required Documents

The documents mentioned earlier in the article must be upload by the applicant in the prescribed format. The applicants must keep the copy of all the documents scanned and saved in their device before they start the registration process to avoid errors. Step-4 Application Submission

  • One copy is for the applicant and other copy is to be signed by the Head of the Institute.

  • The applicants enrolling in Undergraduate/Diploma courses must have secured minimum 60% marks in 12th standard/higher secondary final qualifying exam.
  • The applicants willing to renew their scholarship while enrolling in post-graduation courses must have secured minimum 50% marks in their aggregate of the under-graduation exam.
  • The candidate must pass all the exams in the 1st attempt to be eligible to apply for renewal.

Renewal Process:
