Canara Bank Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

Applicants before filling up the application form of the Canara Bank Scholarship need to check the following eligibility criteria. After fulfilling all the eligibility criteria, students can proceed further.

  • Applicant must be unemployed.
  • Age of candidates must not exceed 35 years as on the last date of application submission (relaxation of 5 years for reserved categories)
  • Must have minimum 55% of marks at PG and required to have 60% marks at UG level. (5% discount for reserved categories)

National Fellowship for OBC

  • Applicant must be unemployed.
  • Must have qualified the postgraduate exam.
  • Family Annual income must not exceed INR 6 Lakh.
  • Must pursue regular, full-time M.Phil./Ph.D. in Science/Humanities/Social Sciences/Engineering & Technology

Kothari Fellowship

  • Applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject under the Science faculty.
  • Must be unemployed and not above the age of 35 years (relaxation of 3, 5 and 10 years for reserved categories of OBC, SC/ST/Women and PWD, respectively)

NET JRF Fellowship

  • Applicant must have completed a master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Humanities, Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, etc. (5% relaxation of marks for reserved categories)
  • The age of the student should not be more than 30 to apply for this scholarship.

Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship

  • Applicant must be a girl student and pursuing regular, full-time 1st-year master’s degree course.
  • The applicant must be the only child of her parents.
  • The age of the student should not be more than 30 to apply for this scholarship.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship

  • Applicant must have qualified CBSE/NTA-UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET examination.
  • Must be pursuing a regular & full-time M.Phil./Ph.D. student
  • Must belong to a minority community.
  • Annual income must not be more than INR 6 Lakh.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC

  • Applicant must belong to SC and ST category.
  • Must have passed post-graduation
  • Must be registered in full-time M.Phil./Ph.D. courses as a regular student

8.

Ishan-Uday Scholarship

  • Applicant must be the domicile of North-east states
  • Family Annual income must not exceed INR 4.5 Lakh
  • The main eligibility for its application is here that the applicant should be secure admission in 1 year of any degree course.

9.

Swami Vivekanand Single Girl Child Scholarship

  • The scholarship is open for single girl child only.
  • Applicant must be pursuing a regular, full-time Ph.D. programmer in Social Sciences at a recognized Indian University/ Institution/ College.
  • The maximum age limit is 40 years for general category students and 45 years for SC / ST / OBC and PWD.
  • This scholarship is also open to transgender candidates, which is proof of equality.

Emeritus Fellowship

  • The fellowship is open to highly qualified, superannuated, and experienced teachers of recognized institutions/colleges/ universities.
  • Those applying for this must-have contributed to their service career with quality research and published work.
  • The fellowship award allows the recipient to work with a well-defined time-bound action plan up to the age of 70.

Postdoctoral Fellowship for Women

  • Only women candidates who are unemployed and hold a PhD degree can apply.
  • Applicant’s age should not be more than 55 years (relaxation of 5 years in age to SC, ST, OBC, PWD candidates)
  • The minimum percentage of marks obtained by general category applicants at the UG level must be 55% and 60% at PG level (relaxation of 5% marks to SC, ST, OBC, PWD candidates)
  • Transgender candidates can also apply.

PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders

  • Students who have completed their graduation in the following subjects, students are eligible to apply for it –

    • Physical Sciences

    • Languages
    • Commerce
  • Students must achieve first or second rank at the UG level and must be enrolled in a full-time, regular master’s degree program at a recognized university/college.
  • The main eligibility is that the student should not be more than 30 years of age at the time of admission to the PG course.
  • The minimum percentage of marks obtained by a student in graduation is 60%.

Postdoctoral Fellowship for SC/ST

  • Unemployed candidates with having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject can apply.
  • For this scholarship, the maximum age limit for male applicants is 50 years, while for female applicants it is 55 years.
  • Applicant must have scored 50% marks at UG level and 55% marks at PG level.
  • Transgender candidates can also apply.

PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST

  • Applicant must belong to SC/ST category.
  • Students who are pursuing the first year of the professional courses at PG level during the current year are eligible for this.
  • Some of the following courses like; Courses approved from major regulatory bodies like MCI, NCTE, Bar Council of India, NCTIS, RCI, DCI, PCI, AICTE, Development Authority of India, Forensic Regulatory, INCA, and ICAR are considered as vocational courses for which scholarship is applicable, and applications can be made by them.

BSR Fellowships in Sciences

  • Applicant must be a meritorious student willing to undertake advanced studies and research leading to a Ph.D. degree in the field of Science.
  • Must belong to Departments of Sciences, Biosciences, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering Sciences of the eligible universities

UGC-BSR Faculty Fellowship Scheme

  • Students must have successfully supervised Ph.D. dissertation of 15 (in Basic Sciences) or 10 (in Engineering & Technology) full-time students, 5 of whom have graduated during the last 10 years.
  • The eligibility of the student as Principal Investigator funded by National / International agencies to conduct at least 3 research projects in the last 10 years is also unique.

AICTE GATE Scholarship

  • Applicant must have a valid GATE/GPAT score.
  • Must have taken admission in a regular, full-time AICTE approved programmer in the field of engineering, architecture or pharmacy such as Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture, or Master of Pharmacy
  • To apply for this scholarship, the student should be admitted to AICTE approved institutes or university departments.
