Step-1 Registration Process for MahaDBT
- First of all, the student needs to visit the official website of MahaDBT. The homepage of the website will open on your screen.

- On the homepage, to apply for a “Post-matric Scholarship” click on the scholarship of your choice and then click on the option “New applicant Registration” to register yourself.

- The registration page will appear on your screen, enter all the information correctly and register.
- You have to verify your email Id and Mobile number to complete the registration process. For email verification click on “Get OTP” for Email Id verification” and for mobile number verification click on “Get OTP” for Mobile Number Verification”.
Note- The verification of Email Id and Mobile Number are mandatory for all the students.
Step-2 Application process for MahaDBT
- Once, you have registered yourself successfully login using your registered email Id and password.

- After logging in a new page will open there enter your Aadhar card number and proceed further.
- The students are required to verify their Aadhar authentication which can be done in two ways.
- OTP- If you have your number registered with an Aadhar card then you can choose this option of authentication.
- Bio-matric- If you do not have your number registered with an Aadhar card then you can choose this option of authentication.
- After entering your Aadhar card number click on the “Send OTP” option. The system will generate an OTP and send it to your registered mobile number. Enter that OTP and click on the “OK” option.
- Once your Aadhar is successfully verified the application’s details will be automatically fetched from UIDAI and auto-populated in address details, personal details, bank details, etc.
- A new page will open showing the dashboard of all the scholarships available.
- You need to select the scholarship of your choice and click on the option “Apply” to start the new application process.
- Fill the complete profile with all the required information.
- After updating your profile, the applicant can go to the “All Schemes” option and search for the scholarship of your choice under the departments in the MahaDBT portal.
- A list of suggesting scholarships will appear on your screen, select the scholarship of your choice to apply for.
