NSP UGC Scholarships – Disbursement

The scholarship will be distributed among the selected candidate by DBT (Direct Bank Transfer). The distribution will be done on the bases of Aadhar card number of the candidates. Aadhar card of the students will be used as an identifier for the disbursement of this scholarship. The students who do not have their Aadhar card can provide number of any other government issued ID for the identification purpose.

  • The students who are permanent residents of North Eastern states including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura Mizoram and Nagaland can apply.
  • The applicant must have cleared their 12th or equivalent exam in the previous year.
  • The applicant must have enrolled in 1st year of any degree course at an approved college/institute/university.
  • The family annual income of the candidate should be less than Rs.4.5 lakhs.

Note – The students who belong to transgender community are also eligible under this scholarship. The students pursuing their studies from distance learning are not eligible.

PG Scholarship Scheme – SC/ST Students for Professional Courses

The students who are willing to apply for PG Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students for Professional Courses have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions.

  • The students belonging to SC/T category can apply for this scholarship.
  • The applicant must have enrolled in 1st year of their regular Master’s degree program from any approved college or university.
  • The applicant must be studying at one of these institutes.
    • Institutes of national importance
    • Colleges/ Institutions/Universities funded by Central/State Government
    • Colleges/ Institutions/Universities that are included under section 2(f) & and 12(B) of UGC Act.
    • Deemed to be Universities that are included under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 which are eligible to receive grants-in-aid from UGC.

Note – The courses that are approved by regulatory bodies like MCI, DCI, PCI, RCI, AICTE, NCTIS, NCTE Bar Council of India, INC, ICAR and Forensic Regulatory & Development Authority of India are considered as professional courses.

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship – Single Girl Child

The students who are willing to apply for PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions.

  • This scholarship is provided only to the girl students who are the only girl child in their family.
  • The applicant must have enrolled in 1st year of their regular Master’s degree program from any approved college or university.
  • The female students who do not have any brother or those who are fraternal daughter or twin sisters can apply for this scholarship.
  • The applicant should be below the age of 30 to apply for this scholarship.

PG Scholarship – University Rank Holders

The students who are willing to apply for PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions-

  • The students who secured 1st or 2nd ranks in their Graduation can apply for this scholarship.
  • The applicant must be pursuing their regular Master’s degree program from any approved college or university.
  • The candidate must have secured minimum 60% marks in their Graduation.
  • The applicant should be below the age of 30 to apply for this scholarship.
  • The applicant must have completed their graduation in courses like Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Social Sciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Commerce or Languages.

  • First of all, the student has to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), where the homepage of the website will open.

  • On the homepage, click on the “New Registration” tab to begin registration.
  • Now, a page with application guidelines will open on your screen, read all the guidelines very carefully, and then click on the “Continue” tab.
  • After this, a registration page will open on your screen, fill in the required details and click on the “Register” tab.
  • Once registered, you will receive the user ID and password on your registered mobile number and email ID.
  • Go to the homepage and log in using your ID and password.
