West Bengal Pre Metric Scholarship – SC/ST Students

This scholarship is run by the Backward Class Welfare Department under the Government of WB for the students of ST/SC community. This scholarship is provided to the students of classes 9th and 10th who belong to the ST/SC community. Under this scholarship students receive assistance of Rs.250 to Rs.750 and selected students will receive adhoc grant of Rs.1000 per year in addition.

The West Bengal Government launched this scholarship for the girl students who have passed their 12th standard and current pursing graduation in Basic Science /Medicine /Engineering from any institute in West Bengal. The selected students will receive Rs.3000 per month and annual book grant of Rs.2000.

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship

The West Bengal Government launched this scholarship for the post-matric students. This scholarship provides benefits to the students studying from 11th onwards and who belong to the minority communities. The selected students are provided up to Rs.8000 per month under this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who want to apply for this scholarship should be native to West Bengal.
  • The candidate studying in higher secondary or diploma must have secured minimum 75% marks in the 10th standard.
  • The candidate studying at graduation level must have secured minimum 75% marks in the 12th standard.
  • The candidate studying at post-graduation level must have secured minimum 53% (general education) or 55% (engineering) in graduation.
  • Family Annual Income shouldn’t be more than 2.5 lakhs.
