YIF – Comprehensive Details

Young India Fellowship (YIF) is a one-year residential multi-disciplinary PG Diploma program which provides Liberal Arts education based on an efficient concept of Experiential Learning Module (ELM). The fellowship allows fellows to pursue courses offered by partner universities such as Carleton College, University of Pennsylvania, Science PO, University of Michigan, King’s College London, UC Berkeley, Yale University, Wellesley College and Trinity College Dublin. Step 1: Registration form Young India Fellowship

  • First of all, you have to visit the official website of Ashoka University Portal. After this the home page of the website will open in front of you.

  • After this you will get the password on the registered e-mail address.

Step 2: Login Portal

  • After registration, you have to login to the portal through the password received on the e-mail id.

Step 3: Wait for Young India Fellowship (YIF) to Respond After Application Submission

  • Since this is an elimination round, some applicants are short-listed for the next round after submitting the carefully filled application form.
  • Applicants are interviewed over telephone for further consideration.
  • The purpose of the telephonic interview is to get to know the applicant better and to assess whether he or she is a suitable candidate for the fellowship programme.
  • Selected applicants will be informed about the date and time of telephonic interview through mail. The applicant should ensure to be present in suitable seating and comfortable place to avoid any disturbance during the interview.

Step 4: Comprehension Test and Personal Interview at Ashoka University

  • Applicants who get selected in Telephonic Interview will be called for further Personal Interview at Ashoka University Campus.
  • This will be the first time that applicants and YIF faculty members will come for face-to-face interaction.
  • A face-to-face interview along with a comprehension test will be conducted to analyse the student and test his/her basic oral and written communication.

Step 5: Final Selection

  • Thereafter, the intimation of the results will be provided to the final selected applicants through call or mail
  • The final selection will be based on the cumulative score of all the three stages.
