For the economically backward classes, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship was proposed by the government to provide financial assistance to the students and this scheme (Abdul Kalam Scholarship, Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award, Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship, Dr. APJ Abdul 50% of Kalam Scholarship) is reserved only for women candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

No student will receive any amount on monthly basis. This Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship is for those candidates who are willing to study UG, PG, PhD courses and other equivalent education. The maximum amount of money given to selected students per year is up to Rs 10,000. Abdul Kalam Scholarship — Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for each fellowship and scholarship differs from each other. These conditions are decided by respective authorities responsible for the distribution of each scholarship. The students will be selected based on these criteria only. So, before applying all the students must check their eligibility for the scholarship they wish to apply for. The student must have passed their 12^th standard or graduation degree. The applicant must have at least 75% attendance in the previous semester. Family annual income of the candidate should not be more than Rs.2 Lakhs.
APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship, Kerala	The students belonging to minority community (Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Parsi and Sikh) can apply for this scholarship. The applicant must be a domicile of Kerala state. The applicant must be pursuing diploma courses from government or government aided institute on the merit basis. The applicants belonging to BPL families are given preference under this scholarship. Family annual income of the candidate should not be more than Rs.8 Lakhs.
Dr Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarships	Foreign students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The students willing to pursue graduation from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies from the University of Sydney. The applicant must have cleared either an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification equivalent to an ATAR of at least 98.
Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship	The applicant must be an Indian working in the field of engineering for reputed public-funding Indian Institutes. The applicant must have an undergraduate degree and professional work experience. The applicant must have been working for the parent plant for minimum 5 years from the date of award.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program	The students currently pursuing 1^st year of M.Sc. program (minimum first-class at pre-MSc degree level) can apply for this scholarship. The students who are currently in the 3^rd to pre-final year of M.Sc. who have a CGPA of 6.0 or more on the scale of 10 can apply for this scholarship. The students who are currently pursuing the 1^st year of the ME/MTech program who have CGPA 8.0 or more or students who are pursuing B.E/B.Tech level who have CGPA 7.0 on a scale for CFT or GATE Score ≥ 600 or NET (Engineering) rank from 1 to 100) are eligible for this scholarship, The students who are pursuing first to final year of integrated ME/MTech program CGPA 8.0 or CGPA 7.0 for CFTIs or GATE Score ≥600 or NET) can apply for this scholarship.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards	The students studying in class 12^th can apply for this scholarship. The age of the applicant should not be more than 18 years. The students who are pursuing open school should be less than 17 years in age.
President APJ Abdul Kalam Postgraduate Fellowship	The students who be pursuing or must have completed their graduation from any university in India can apply for this scholarship. The student must have submitted the applicant form of the University of Florida and must have received their university ID number. The applicant must be willing to pursue a PhD degree in following subjects. Fulbright Kalam Climate Fellowship	The applicant must be an Indian citizen and residing in India at present. The applicant must have a terrific academic track record. The applicant must be fluent in English Language. The students who are applying for doctoral research must have enrolled in PhD program in India and must have done adequate research in the relevant field. The research in the field of identification of resources in India and U.S is given preference. The applicants who are applying for post-doctoral research must have obtained their PhD degree in last 4 years.

Abdul Kalam Scholarship — Selection Procedure

The students must fulfil all the eligibility criteria under Abdul Kalam Scholarship.

Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship	Under this Abdul Kalam scholarship the selected students will receive following benefits. Fellowship amount- Rs.25,000 per month. Research grant- Rs.15 Lakhs per annum which should be used for research, engineering and innovation activities including manpower hiring, consumables, national/international travel for research purposes, etc. Overhead amount- 1 Lakh per year will be given to the hosting institutes.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program	Under this scholarship the selected 20 students will receive following benefits. Fellowship amount- Rs.25,000 for 2 months. Travel allowance- Rs.5,000.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards	The applicants who get selected under this scheme will get a chance to display their project in an exhibition. The travel expense of the train is also provided to the students.
President APJ Abdul Kalam Postgraduate Fellowship	Under this scholarship the selected students will receive following benefits. Tuition fee waiver for a period of 4 years. Monthly stipend- USD 22,000. University of South Florida will pay full-tuition (up to 12 credits per semester) for graduate-level credit hours taken at USF that count towards the student’s graduate degree.
Fulbright Kalam Climate Fellowship	The applicants who get selected under this fellowship will receive various benefits like J-1 visa support, round trip airfare between India and US, a monthly stipend, professional allowance and many other benefits.
