The UGC Organization has established a number of scholarships to those candidates who want to pursue a PHD degree from a recognized board of india. However eligibility Criteria will be different according to the fellowship program under UGC Fellowship.
UGC Fellowship – Eligibility Criteria
The following eligibility criteria are needed to take monetary benefits from The UGC Organization under the UGC Fellowship:
- Only those Candidates who have a burning desire to get the UGC Fellowship must be a permanent resident of India.
- Those students who don’t have permanent residency are not eligible for UGC Fellowship

- The scholarship amount is directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiary through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under University Grants Commission Fellowship.

UGC Fellowship – Application Procedure
- First of all, candidates have to go to the official website of the scholarship where its homepage will be displayed on the screen.
- Now candidates have to click on the apply online button present on the homepage and the different types of Fellowship programs will open on the screen.
- Now candidates have to read the details related to the fellowship program carefully.
- After That The candidates have to click on the apply online button or they can register themselves as new users.
- Then candidates have to fill out the registration form and upload all of the documents in order to be eligible for the benefits according to the eligibility criteria.
