Scotland Saltire Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship is awarded to new international students wishing to pursue full-time higher education studies in Scotland. All applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the scholarship.

  • Applicants must demonstrate an interest in studying in Scotland at a specific Scottish university and aspire for work and study and / or in a global context and hold a leadership position in their chosen career.
  • They must also demonstrate a willingness and necessary interpersonal and communication skills to participate in the activities program that accompanies scholarship.
  • They must be a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a University of Scotland for those under a course scholarship.
  • They must be permanent residents of Canada, India, the United States or the People’s Republic of China (Hong Kong is also eligible as it is a Special Administrative Region of China).
  • They should also be able to cover the remainder after the money scholarship is awarded for all expenses.
  • All applicants have to submit their applications for scholarship for their selected institution by the last date of 31 March 2015.
